Does TermGlow upload page text?
No. Page processing is local. Only a user-configured remote list is fetched as data.
Does it require an account?
No account or publisher backend is required.
What matching modes exist?
Literal, wildcard and regular-expression modes, plus whole-word and case-sensitive options per list.
Why do I see no highlights?
Check enabled state, URL/DOM rules, global excludes, permissions and the page type. Then reload the page.
Does Sync run continuously?
No. Chrome Sync is an explicit snapshot for selected lists and is limited by storage quotas.
Can remote lists execute JavaScript?
No. TXT, CSV and JSON are parsed as data. Remote URLs must use HTTPS and are validated.
Can TermGlow highlight PDFs or canvas text?
Not reliably. Chrome internal pages, PDF viewers, canvas text and closed Shadow DOM are documented limitations.
How do I remove my data?
Delete lists, clear Sync, or use the confirmed reset action in the extension.
